Landlord-Tenant Act changes
After months of uncertainty and changing criteria for residential evictions, the Virginia General Assembly has passed revisions to the Virginia Landlord-Tenant Act. Changes include a new 14-day pay-or-quit notice, a requirement that landlords must offer a repayment plan to tenants who are behind, and another 14-day notice period for tenant who make a payment plan but then fail to pay.
